Larry Liebowitz

Larry Leibowitz is a finance and technology entrepreneur who specializes in business transformation and capital markets.  He is currently President and a Board Director of Crux Informatics, a software platform which helps firms publish/monetize, acquire, explore, and transform data.  He is on the board of several other startups, including an exchange for renewable energy contracts, a digital law solution, and an IT site logistics platform. Larry has extensive experience as an agent of change, including serving as Chief Operating Officer of NYSE Euronext, where he was responsible for all aspects of NYSE.  During his tenure he oversaw the transformation of the group’s technology platform across 10 exchanges.  His prior experience includes founding a successful quantitative hedge fund, which was acquired by Charles Schwab Inc, where he transformed Schwab’s wholesale market making business using technology and analytics.  He was also the CEO of Redibook, one of the early electronic stock exchanges.   Larry began his career developing automated trading software at Morgan Stanley. Larry has been a featured speaker at numerous financial industry forums related to markets, innovation and change, and technology, and has made numerous media appearances as an expert in these areas.    In the non-profit world, Larry has focused his energy on using technology to improve the efficiency and leverage of philanthropy, the most recent effort being GivingCompass (www.givingcompass.org), a curated platform that makes philanthropy resources accessible and engaging for new entrants.  Mr. Leibowitz graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics.
