Yahal Zilka is a 20 year veteran of the VC industry. He is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Ofek Venture Partners and Magma Venture Partners leading early stage Israeli related Venture Capital Funds. Yahal is recognized for his expertise in working closely with entrepreneurs assisting them in creating new industry categories and brings years of experience as an entrepreneur, mentor and executive, providing strong financial, operational and hands-on management experience in the ICT space to his portfolio companies. He has served an important role as a board member and advisor of Waze, Argus, Onavo, Replay Technologies and DesignArt Networks during their acquisitions by Google, Continental, Facebook, Intel and Qualcomm respectively. Yahal brings a track record of contributing to over 20 exits todate as executive and investor.
Yahal currently serves as a director on the boards of a number of leading Israeli startups including Valens Semiconductors, Scylla DB, Magisto, Hola, Iguazio, Applitools, Gloat, Coretigo, Indegy and others. He has participated in the investments of several of Magma’s leading companies including Innoviz, Appsflyer, Corephotonics, Cloudendure, Autotalks and more. Yahal is an active private investor and has made investments in game changing companies such as MeMed, Vayyar, Replay Technologies (freeD) (acquired by Intel in 2016) , Intuition Robotics, FundBox, WSC Sports and others. In the past 10 years Yahal serves on the Board of Directors of the IATI (Israel’s Advanced Technology Industries) the parent organization of the local High Tech eco-system where he was also Chairman of the Annual Conference for three consecutive years. Prior to his role as investor Yahal was the CFO of VocalTec Ltd. where he led its public offering on NASDAQ in 1996.
